Family Adventures

Parenting has been our greatest adventure, and it is pure joy experiencing the world with Elias. We love our family adventures that are full of fun, bonding, and exploration. Being together is truly our happy place and we greatly enjoy finding ways to create new memories. We are so excited to welcome a new addition to our family and explore the world by their side.

Lake Trips

We are boarding the boat that gives a tour around the lake. This is the lake Meagan‘s family has been visiting every year since her dad was a child, and now she gets to share it with Elias. As we sail past the pine trees and snowcap mountains, Elias gets asked to be captain and steer. Looking at Joshua and Maegan with hesitation, he puts on the captain's hat and moves towards the front. He nervously puts his hands on the wheel and then smiles. When he returns to Maegan's lap of comfort he pronounces “I did it and was brave”!

Winter Fun

We are driving up the mountain with a mission to see snow. Elias is so excited seeing the snowbanks on the side of the road, but as we pull up to the cabin, we notice the snow has started to melt. We head to the backyard and Josh shovels up the melting snow, then in one fell swoop flings it into the air, making it snow for Elias. When we wake up the next morning the outside is blanketed in white, but we smile at each other because we still love the magic of our family’s special snowfall.

Disneyland

It’s Elias‘s first trip to Disneyland and his only request is to give Winnie the Pooh a hug. We make our way to Pooh’s house and are greeted by an endless line. More than an hour later, it's finally our turn and we are told that Pooh needs to leave to be replaced by Eeyore. Despite pleas from the crowd Pooh starts to leave. Josh quickly distracts the guards with parade questions, while Maegan guides Elias in for his one hug. We may not have gotten the dream photoshoot, but we captured the hug that gave Elias a never-ending smile.
